Wednesday’s Social Bowls
There were 11 starters last Wednesday (May 6) for social bowls. The winners of the afternoon were Ed Wlodarczyk, Mal Altmann, and Dylan Marchant who defeated Dave Jones, Jim L’Homme, and Gil Riley, 23-9.
The remaining game, a win went to Bob Rogers, Garry Garbutt (swinger), and Mick (Mendooran) who played Mike Newstead and Steve (Mendooran), 18–12.
Sunday’s Social Bowls
Fifteen bowlers enjoyed social bowls on Sunday, May 11. The winners of the lovely sunny Mother’s Day bowls were Teddy ‘bear’ Stewart and Shaun ‘Sharky’ Marchant who both played great bowls in defeating Dave Stockings and Wenden Riley, 20-7.
In other games, Tracey Riley, Uncle Gil Riley (swinger), and Norm Lummis had a very close win against Jayden Doran and Dylan Marchant, 15-13.
John Rogan (visitor), Bob Rogers, and Danial Riley defeated Tracy McGrath (visitor), Rod Howchin, and Maxine Elsom, 17-11.
John, Bob, and Danial didn’t win the day but they had a very good win when they claimed the bowls jackpot.
