Wednesday’s social bowls
Fourteen bowlers enjoyed a game of social bowls last Wednesday (August 28).
The winners with the highest winning margin were Steve (visitor), John (visitor) and Garry Garbutt who defeated Phil Godber, James Rogers and Dylan Marchant, 21-9.
Sunday’s social bowls
Another 14 starters on Sunday (September 1) for social bowls.
The winners of the afternoon were Jayden Doran and Dylan Marchant who defeated Bruce Parker and David Duffy, 23-14.
Pairs championships action
Three games of A-Pairs Championships were played on the weekend.
David Duffy and Danial Riley had a win against Shayne Barwick and Bob Dicks, 31-20.
Jo and Noel Raines defeated Jarryd Eason and Garry Raines, 21-15.
Mal Altmann and Brent McKenzie defeated Leroy Gregory and Daryl McKenzie, 29-22.
In B-Pairs Ross Wilson and Wenden Riley gained the win against Larry Clark and Bruce Parker, 22-12.
The remaining game saw the reigning champs, Maxine Elsom and Norm Lummis, knocked off their perch when they were defeated by Bob Rogers and David Duffy, 17-14.
