There were 14 starters for social bowls last Wednesday.

The winners, 28-7, were Dave Jones, Bruce Parker, and Dylan Marchant who defeated James L’Homme, James Rogers, and Rod Howchin.

According to reports, Dave was the best bowler on the rink by far. According to the same report, Rod Howchin wasn’t.

In other games Leroy Gregory and Gil Riley defeated Stacey Reynolds and Mal Altmann, 25-17.

Mike Newstead and Bob Rogers had a win against Jayden Doran and Rambo, 16–13.

Pennants

The grade seven Pennant team travelled to Gulgong on Sunday and came home very happy winners with the score being 73-57, with an overall result of 9-1.

The Gil Riley-skipped team won 36–12. Riley played very well in this game.

The Baden Fisher-skipped team had a loss, 24-12, with Ed Wlodarczyk playing very good bowls in his first pennants game.

Wenden Riley’s team won 25-21, with Dave Jones keeping his good form from Wednesday’s social bowls in having another great game.

The grade five team also had a win when they played at home against Baradine with the score being 70-61 with the overall result of 8-2.

The Dylan Marchant-led team had a very good win, 29-13 with the skip himself playing spectacular bowls.

The never give up Rambo Young skipped team had a close loss of 20 to 23.

Noel Raines’ team also had a close loss in going down 25-21. The bowler with the most potential in this game was Norm Lummis who is looking forward to his first win in pennants this year.

Next Sunday the Grade Five team have the bye while the Sevens will be on the road again, this time to Binnaway. Check with the club for bus departure time.

Bowlers selected are, Ted S, Shayne B, Bob D, Gil R, Leroy, Stacey, Jayden, Baden, Dave J, Andrew T, Parky, and Wenden.
