The winners of last Wednesday social bowls with the lowest winning margin were Mike Newstead, Paul Morris and Garry Garbutt. These lads defeated Wayne Morris, Jeff Jones and Dylan Marchant, 20-19. The remaining game saw a win to Gavin Glover, Mal Altmann (swinger) and Barry Johnson against Bob Rogers and Bruce Parker.

Sunday social bowls had a great field of 26 bowlers for what was the Farewell Mick Hannelly bowls day. Mick started at the Sporties as manager 16 years ago, before moving on to start his own lawn mowing business. Mick has always been a great supporter and volunteer at the club for many years, in particular running bonanza every Thursday night and anything else he could assist with. The bowlers and members wish Mick and Veronica all the very best in the southern suburb of Gilgandra, being Dubbo.

The winners of this event were Kimi Barwick, Baden Fisher (swinger) and Dylan Marchant, 19-7. In other games Bob Rogers and David Duffy gave Roger Irvin, Paul Elsom and Danial Riley a bit of a bowling lesson to the tune of 20-8.

All the other games came down to the wire with Lucy McKenzie, Leroy Gregory and Brent McKenzie defeating Tracey Riley, Gavin Glover and Gil Riley, 12-11. Mick Hannelly and ShaunMarchant had win against Dave Jones and Norm Lummis, 15-13. Rob Hundy, Bruce Parker and Mal Altmann defeated Kel Kilsby, Maxine Elsom and Mouse Holland, 13-11. The standout bowlers in this match were without a doubt, Kel and Parky. 150 Consistency and 21 up A few games of 150 Consistency and 21 up have been played during the last week, which is very good. In the 150 Dylan Marchant had a win against Tommy Ledger 150-104. Danial Riley defeated Bob Rogers 154-120. Rambo Young defeated Tracey Riley 151-131. Wenden Riley was too good on the day for the never give up Jo Raines, 155-127.

In the 21 up Dylan Marchant gained a win against Wenden Riley, 21–13. The remaining game saw Tommy Ledger come up against Shaun Marchant. Tommy went down 21-9 in this game which he played directly after playing the other Marchant, Dylan, in the 150. Playing two games in a row is very tiring, so well done Tommy for getting both of your games played on the same day to keep the competition moving.
