Peter Watt is the author of 21 captivating historical fiction novels, many set against the backdrop of Australia’s rugged frontier. He’ll share stories from his fascinating life, his writing journey, and the inspirations behind his much-loved books. Over the years, Peter has worked as a soldier, articled clerk, prawn trawler deckhand, builder’s labourer, pipe layer, real estate salesman, private investigator, police sergeant, surveyor’s chainman, and advisor to the Royal Papua New Guinea constabulary.

He speaks, reads and writes Vietnamese and Pidgin, and now lives in Maclean on the Clarence River, northern NSW.

A dedicated volunteer with the Rural Fire Service, Peter also enjoys fishing and exploring the vast open spaces of outback Queensland.
