Back for its fifth epic year, Under the Gums is going to be a huge night of musical entertainment for all ages. The lineup for Under the Gums was announced last week as tickets for the event also went on sale.

This year’s Under the Gums line up includes, the current breakout star of Australian country music Lane Pittman; ARIA Hall of Fame Inductee and Aussie Icicon, Daryl Braithwaite; your favourite heeler duo, Bluey and Bingo; party cover band, Splashpool; powerhouse country reveller, Abbie Ferris; #LocalLegend band, BADJ; original songwriters from ‘SOMAD’; and of course, Gilgandra’s favourite brass band, Phat Brass.

Festival goers will notice there are a number of new ticket options. The planning crew are also advising the community that there is a transition to a paid event this year, as the organisers are on our trajectory to ensure Under the Gums is sustainable into the future for the community. “The value for each ticket is still incredible with epic lineup of live music, brews, crews and all-round good vibes! There will be a wide range of events across the Goin’ to Gil Festival Weekend that will be free to attend,” said a spokesperson for the event. Early bird ticket prices are available until the end of June, with the popular ‘Level Up’ experience back in 2025, and a new ‘Family Experience Pass’ including a meet and greet with Bluey and Bingo! Other ticket add-ons include a local business service for the gilgandra township, and buses from Dubbo/Eumungerie, Coonamble/Armatree, and Coonabarabran/Tooraweenah.

The Goin’ to Gil Festival Weekend is already brimming with events and activities. Another major highlight of the weekend will be the 10-year reunion of the 2015 Coo-ee March Reenactment, who will feature prominently in the popular Street Parade in Miller Street.

From the Gilgandra Speedway season opener to Gilgandra Alive’s #LocalLegends busking and the Gil Triathlon (Colour Run, Gilgandra CWA Watermelon Eating Competition, and Coo-ee March Re-enactment Committee Coo- ee Call Competition) to name a few, it’s all happening in Gilgandra this October long weekend. You can check out the draft schedule, or get in touch with council to add your event!

With a full weekend schedule, be sure to book your or your family’s accommodation and extend your stay.

The Goin’ to Gil Planning Crew also welcomes collaborators and sponsors to be part of the action!

This is the perfect time to experience the very best of what the Gilgandra Region has to offer over an action-packed weekend that’s not to be missed!

This showcase event of the Gilgandra Region is brought to you thanks to support from the NSW Government and Gilgandra Shire Council.
