2026 Narromine Dolly Parton Festival "vibrant day of festivities"
There was strong attendance at this year's festival celebrating the late Dolly Parton

Narromine has celebrated an exceptional weekend of music, entertainment and community spirit, with the 2026 Narromine Dolly Parton Festival bringing residents and visitors together for a vibrant day of festivities and an evening of live music on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Made possible through the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program and Narromine Shire Council, the evening music festival attracted 1900 attendees, with visitors travelling from across NSW, Queensland and the ACT to experience the celebrations.
The strong attendance highlights the festival’s appeal and its capacity to attract visitors, stimulate local economic activity and showcase Narromine as a destination worth travelling to.
Mayor of Narromine Shire Council, Clr Lachlan Roberts, said the festival was a significant achievement for the region, reflecting the dedication of those involved and the value of events that bring communities together while delivering broader economic benefits.
“The attendance at this year’s festival is a wonderful endorsement of its growing appeal. Welcoming visitors from across NSW and beyond creates a real sense of occasion, showcases the best of our community and provides a valuable boost to our local economy,” Mayor Roberts said.
“An event of this calibre requires months of planning, meticulous coordination and an extraordinary amount of work behind the scenes. The festival committee and Narromine Shire Council staff deserve particular recognition for their dedication, collaboration and determination to deliver an outstanding experience for everyone who attends.
The economic benefits extend well beyond the festival grounds. Visitors contribute to local businesses, cafés, restaurants and accommodation providers, generating additional trade and supporting our regional economy. Just as importantly, the festival raises Narromine’s profile, encouraging people to discover our region and return in the future.
The NSW Government’s Open Streets Program has played an important role in making the event possible, supporting an initiative that brings people together, activates our town centre and creates opportunities for local businesses and the wider community’” said Mayor Clr Roberts.
The Narromine Dolly Parton Festival’s success is also a reflection of the volunteers, performers, sponsors, businesses and community members who contribute to its delivery. It demonstrates what can be achieved when people share a vision and work collectively to create something truly memorable, he added.
With the support of the NSW Government, the hard work of Council and the festival committee and the enthusiasm of the wider community, the Narromine Dolly Parton Festival continues to draw visitors to the region, generate valuable business for local operators and create memorable experiences that benefit visitors and the community well beyond the festival weekend.
