Tooraweenah Golf’s cancer fundraiser
After raising more than $4000 last year, the Tooraweenah Golf Club cancer fundraiser event is back and ready for another great year.

The popular event will tee-off again this weekend
with the highly-anticipated auction to follow after the
rounds are completed.
Club president, Dan Harte, is looking forward to
welcoming everyone back to this fun annual event for a
great day on the green.
“This year, we have had so many donations from lots
of local businesses, which has been absolutely fantastic,”
Mr Harte said.
“We have a barbecue from Mitre 10, a cargo net
from Nutrien, fuel and meat vouchers from Gilgandra
businesses, boots from Elders, tyres…it’s going to be a
great day,” he added.
Originally established as just a golf event to raise
money for Gilgandra and District Cancer Fundraisers,
the day has now developed into a much larger do, he
explained.
“Last year, we really got a lot of donations after
COVID-19 for the auction, and it just grew from there,”
Mr Harte said.
With a bit of rain last week, the course is now looking lush and green for the big day for both players and a great local charity.
