Results from Gilgandra Golf Club - March 15

We had 12 veterans play a nine hole stroke on
Thursday afternoon. The winner was Bob Dwyer
on a countback from Mark Barwick, who both had
a nett 34½ for their round.
Third place went to Geoff Mills from Geoff
Lummis and Bill Kirsop who all had 35 nett.
Bob
also won the nearest the pin. Graeme Holland won
the average ball. Gladys Harvey won the least the
putts with 14 for her round.
We played an 18-hole stableford on Saturday
afternoon. There were 18 golfers who played in
fantastic conditions after the greens had been
cored and fertilised a couple of weeks ago.
The winner was Russell Anderson with 36
points. There were three golfers who all had 35
points. Coming in second was Geoff Lummis, Peter
Fisk came in third and Tim Murray came in fourth.
Peter Fisk won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest the
pin; he also won the super pin as he came within
25 centimetres of the hole.
On Sunday we had eight golfers play a stableford.
The winner on a countback was Rob Hay from Dave Mills, as both golfers had 38 points for their rounds. Geoff Mills won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin.
