The Pinkies will get the action underway on Friday night when they host the Gulgong Lady Terriers. The Gulgong girls have some other commitments on Saturday so they have requested to play on Friday night.

This is a big game for both sides as the Pinkies sit in fourth position on 28 points, just in advance of Gulgong with 26 points.

A loss for either side in this congested competition could be see them slip off the pace as the season heats up.

The Panthers will be in action on Saturday following a huge morning of junior league and the Panthers will be looking to turn the tables on the Terriers following their loss to them back in round four, when Gulgong outmuscled the Panthers on their home track.

As is with the tag competition, a win is imperative to stay in the top four. The Panthers currently sit alongside Cobar at the top of the ladder, while Gulgong are in equal fourth position just four points behind the Panthers.

While the Panthers have suffered some key injuries in recent weeks, Coach Towney, has some very capable replacements to step up and take their spots in the side.

Towney is well aware of the importance of every game ahead of the Panthers and it all starts at McGrane on Saturday when the Panthers try to reverse their loss earlier in the season.

It should be a great day of footy action as the Panther Junior leaguers start the day early against Gulgong, running right through to the big game in front of their home crowd.
