Last week’s local golf report - April 18, 2023

We had 10 veterans play on Thursday afternoon. The winner was Bob Dwyer with nett 311⁄2; he also won the least amount of putts with 12. Second place was won by Gladys Harvey with a 32 nett. Jim L’Homme came in third with a nett 321⁄2. John Newham won the nearest the pin and Graeme Holland won the average ball.

On Saturday we played an 18- hole Stableford, sponsored by Australia Post.

We had 21 golfers compete on the day. Ian Lambell won the day with 40 points for his round from Andy Harris came in second with 37 points. Will Morris came third from Ike Morris on

a countback - both players had 36 points. Ike Morris won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin.

Matchplay results for the week- end:

Ian Lambell 4 and 3 defeated Ian Dent.

Nick Wright defeated Warrick Cross on the 19th hole.

Russell Anderson defeated Tiger Pearce on the 20th hole.

On Sunday we played an 18-hole Par, in great weather for golf.

Nick Wright came in with plus one, winning him first place. Rob Hay also had plus one, but Wright beat him on a countback.

Bill Welsh won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin.
