Gular swim club flying high
By JB Tancred

What a year it has been for the
Gulargambone Swimming Club. Two
new superstar coaches, some great swimming
success, and kicking off the meat
raffles at the Armatree Hotel.
This season the club has been incredibly
lucky to have the services of a new
head coach.
Bruce Bruge has been absolutely fantastic
for the club. His time and effort has
been greatly appreciated.
We have also been very lucky to have
Anne Graham come on board to coach
the younger members of the club.
They both have done invaluable work
for the club.
This incredible coaching has
led to some great success in the club.
Many swimmers competed very successfully
in their school, district, and regional
carnivals.
A special mention must be
made of Ben Mudford and David McIsaac,
who have qualified to compete in
the polding swimming championships at
the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. We wish both boys the best of luck.
For the last two weeks, the club has
been holding meat raffles at the Armatree
Hotel. This has been a great opportunity
for our club to fund raise and it has also
been great fun. The meat raffles continue
this month.
We really want to congratulate our swimmers for a great season! Without them our club would be empty. They have all trained and competed really well. It has been a super fun year with lots of laughs.
