Gular face losses at Brewarrina

The Gulargambone Rugby Union club travelled to Brewarrina on Saturday, April 29. The ladies’ team, the Flamin Galahs, went down to the Bourke Ewes with a final score of 20-5. While they didn’t come home with a win, by all reports they played with plenty of heart in the wet conditions, including the three new players to the team.

Try scorer for the game was Kat Owens. The men also went down to the Bre/Bourke side, with the scoreboard reading 50-0 at full-time. Despite debuting three new players, Gular were still short on the field and a Bre/Bourke teammate pulled on a Gular jersey to help out.

Thank you to Bre/Bourke for putting on a great day despite the rain and cold weather. It is always tough at sowing time.
