Good turn-up for Saturday 18-hole Par competition

On Thursday afternoon last week, 12 veterans
compete in the nine-hole Stroke event with the winner
Rob Hay on nett 33.
Second place went to Graeme Holland, who
also had a 33 nett, with third place to Jim L’Homme
also on nett 33.
Nick White won the nearest to the
pin and Gil Riley won the average ball; with Nick
also winning the least amount of putts.
Saturday was an 18-hole Par round with 17
golfers playing on the day.
Coming in first, was Rob
Hay with plus three with Mick Hannelly coming
second with plus one and Bill Welsh with an allsquare
score, getting third place. John McWhirter
won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest to the pin prize.
On Sunday, there were 14 golfers for an 18-hole Stableford match with the winner Rob Hay on 37 points.
Andy Harris came in second (on a countback) from Mark Barwick with both players on 36 points. Maree Townsend won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest to the pin prize.
