Good Friday Speedway success

Gilgandra Speedway hosted one of their bigger meetings on Good Friday.

The night’s racing included eight events - RSA Street Stockers, Production Sedans, RSA Outlaw Sedans, Speedcars, ACMA Nationals, Wingless Sprints, RSA Junior Sedans and the RSA Australian Fender Bender Championship.

With nearly 50 races including heats and the features, the Gilgandra Speedway organisers had their hands full putting on a huge night of racing for the Easter crowd. The eight events also attracted a large number of driver nominations and also helped to fill the town’s accommodation venues.

Local drivers featured prominently with Wayde Burgers and Richard Howard finishing first and third respectively, in the fender bender title race.

19-year-old Josh Boyd, the youngest driver in the Production Sedans event, finished third.
