Gilgandra Golf wrap - June 15

Only five veterans played on Thursday afternoon.

The winner was Andy Harris with a nett 35½. Second place went to Gil Riley with a nett 37.

Mark Barwick came in third with a nett 38. Mark also won the average ball and Andy won the least amount of putts with 12.

On Saturday we played an 18- hole stroke which was sponsored by Nutrien.

Rob Hay won the day with a nett 69. Bill Welsh came in second on a countback from Rob. Mick Hannnelly came third with a 73 nett.

Nearest the pin on 4/13 went to Bill Welsh and Rob Hay won on 7/16. An 18-hole par was played on Sunday which was sponsored by Diggs Butchery.

First place went to Matt Hodge with plus one. Second place was won by Matt Everett with a minus one, Matt Zell came in third with the same score.

Andy Harris won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin as he came within 1.25 metres of the hole.

On Monday we had 16 golfers who played an 18-hole stableford.

The winner was Marty Cross with 39 points.

Second place went to Garry McKenzie with 36 points on a countback from Peter Holland.

Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Mick Wilson.
