Fours championships underway

Wednesday’s social bowls winners were Phil Godber and Garry Garbutt, who defeated Bruce Parker and Larry Clarke 22-10.

Sunday’s social bowls winners were Mal Altmann, Gavin Glover and Rod Howchin, who defeated Leroy Gregory, Baden Fisher and Barry Johnson 25-10.

Two games of the fours championships were played over the week- end.

In one match, Gavin Glover, Jo Raines, Rod Howchin and Dylan

Marchant had a win against Lucy Scotti, Christine Howchin (sub for Baden Fisher), Shaun Marchant and Garry Raines.

Gavin Glover played very well and was the standout bowler in this match. He also backed up on Sunday with another great game at social bowls. Well done, Gavin.

In the remaining championship match, David Jones, Bob Rogers, Norm Lummis and Danial Riley defeated Shayne Barwick, Larry Clark, Tom Ledger and Brent McKenzie 26-15.
