As many as 20 potentially new members enjoyed a coaching clinic from Golf NSW in conjun-ction with Gilgandra Golf Club. Golf professional, Gary Begg, held a morning clinic that catered for all abilities, from young seven-year-old Riley (future Greg Norman) to more senior players who have never picked up a golf club.

A barbecue, drinks and treats were provided by Golf NSW and cooked up by club secretary Todd Meyers and served by volunteer and board member Mick Wilson.

In the afternoon, a nine-hole ambrose competition was played and won by Andy Harris, club president’s team, who was given a lesson by two new recruits Kyzak Corcoran and Harry Mudford. Second, was Marie Townsend’s team who mentored Ella Mudford and Nick Gale. The Active Kids rebate program can be used at the golf club for a 12-month club membership. The club is also accepting any spare golf equipment that can be utilised by new members.
