Academy Games in Wagga Wagga

Academies who attended the games were the Western Region Academy of Sport, Southern Sports Academy, Central Coast Academy of Sport, North Coast Academy of Sport, Illawarra Academy of Sport, Hunter Academy of Sport, South West Sydney Academy of Sport, South East Sport Academy, Scorers Academy and Northern Inland Academy of Sport.

They participated in triathlon, indoor volleyball, golf, hockey, basketball, cycling, and netball. Balladoran’s Lochy Nolan was selected this year for the Western Region Academy of Sport (WRAS) basketball team, and participated in the games over the weekend. WRAS versed Northern Inland Academy, Central Coast Academy, South East Sports Academy, and Hunter Academy in their pool.

The boys team finished at the top of their pool and advanced through the finals to face Southern Sports Academy in the grand final. Lochy’s strong efforts in the competition and the finals, contributed to the team finishing the weekend with a silver medal, as well as him being chosen from all the basketball athletes as a member of the Allstar team.
