Sunday brekkie returns
A new Sunday breakfast option will be available in Gilgandra from this weekend, as Jo Buckland and her family make their dream a reality.

Situated looking over the picturesque Gilgandra
Golf Club in their clubhouse, Sunday breakfast will
include all of the crowd favourites.
“We’ll have smashed avo on sourdough with feta and
dukkha, bacon and eggs, bacon and egg rolls, ham and
cheese croissants, pancakes with bacon and maple
syrup, pancakes with berries and ice cream, there will
be gluten and dairy free options, plus add ons like your
mushrooms,” said café manager Ms Buckland.
The Gilgandra Golf Club recognised the need for
breakfast to be available on weekends, as there are limited
places to eat on weekends.
After initially approaching Ms Buckland, the idea
for ‘Koda Café’ took off.
“When I was approached, I just jumped at the opportunity.
“It’s pretty low key so far, but if things do take off, we will look at expanding to a lunch or to Friday night dinner,” said Ms Buckland.
Koda Café has been something Ms Buckland has
wanted to do for a while, but couldn’t find a viable way
to make it happen.
“I used to manage a café before I had my children.
So, it’s something we’ve always wanted to do, but we
weren’t willing to take the plunge.”
Koda Café will be a family affair. Ms Buckland will
be managing and cooking, with the assistance of her
partner and daughter with everything else.
Opening for the first time this weekend Koda Café will be providing coffees and other drinks, as well as a select favourites menu, with the option of both inside and outside dining.
