Council drafts new organisational structure
A draft organisational structure was considered by council in the closed part of the ordinary meeting held in May.

It was resolved ‘to endorse the proposed structure
and commence consultation with staff’.
Council is currently undergoing the 28-day consultation period with its staff, as per the Local Government Award. According to section 333 of the Local Government Act 1993, an organisation structure may be re-determined within 12 months after any ordinary election of the council.
In the September 2021 ordinary council
meeting, council determined to provide in principle support
to undertake a review of the organisational structure,
to meet its regulatory obligations, the strategies,
and objectives.
A council spokesperson said “council
will be reviewing the organisation structure, with staff
feedback, in the extraordinary council meeting to be
held in July.
"Updates about the organisation structure will be communicated following this meeting”.
