Under the Gums to return this spring
In its third year running, Under the Gums will be back and bigger than ever later this year.

Situated a little more
upstream to the newly upgraded
Gilgandra Cultural Precinct, the night of
live music, street food, brews, and dancing will light up the bank of the
Castlereagh River.
The event was originally being planned for March, but with the consideration of funding opportunities and other regional events, the night was moved. Council has been successful in grant funding through the Stronger
Country Communities Fund, and the Communities Event Fund, for the evening this year, and next.
“With funding secured, the event planners will be looking, over the two years, at ways to ensure the event continues to grow into the future,” said activation and communications manager, Kathryn Larkin.
Previous Under the Gums events have attracted more than 2000 revellers, and the move to the cultural precinct will allow for an even larger capacity.
