The Blonde Space opens

After months in the making, The Blonde Space opened its doors on Monday, November 15.

Salon owner Jules Marchant says she couldn’t be prouder.

“My dream has finally come true,” said Mrs Marchant.

“It’s been a very long time in the making, and it’s just so exciting to be able to open my doors to my clients.”

Mrs Marchant has sourced almost all of her interior design elements from locals. There are shelves created by A.O. Designs, plants from Love and Grow Lane, earrings for sale by Pandemonium, and an open sign by Vicary Designs.

Mrs Marchant’s personal favourite is a mural by Natasha Carlon.

"I wanted something colourful and with hair, and something that popped. She’s absolutely nailed it,” said Mrs Marchant.

Usually sticking to canvas painting, the mural was the first of its kind Mrs Carlon has ever completed.

“Without that mural, the rest of my interior design wouldn’t be as good. It’s really tied everything together and made it stand out.”

Mrs Marchant worked remotely while the shop was being renovated. She says that opening the salon doors feels surreal.

“I just wanted to create an inviting and relaxing space for people to come and get their hair done. “It doesn’t feel real yet. I still can’t believe it,” said Mrs Marchant.

The Blonde Space is now open for appointments.
