Gilgandra Public School students have raised $7228.10 for the Gilgandra cancer fundraisers.
Classes have competed throughout the current term to raise the most amount of money. The winning class earned the grand prize of VIP seating for the day, whereby students were given prime position at the assembly.
“It’s something that the whole school, every child at school has been a part of.
“We are really proud of our kids for getting onboard and being involved,” said Amy Spora, Student Representative Council (SRC) coordinator.
The students got creative when it came to raising money. As well as cake stands, raffles, and mufti days, students also sold winter essentials such as kindling and beanies. The students also spent days busking, painting, and drawing for locals.
The Gilgandra cancer fundraiser representatives were blown away from the amount of support and dedication each student put in, and were proud to work hand in hand with Gilgandra Public School.
