Stay local and retire to Cooee Village

Cooee Lodge Retirement Village is welcoming new residents with accommodation available now.

The residents at Cooee Lodge are encouraged to live as independently as possible and to maintain social independence.

A range of hostel rooms and independent villa units are now available at Cooee Lodge Retirement Village and they are welcoming new residents.

A hairdresser and allied health professionals regularly visit residents, and they also host fun and enjoyable activities each week.

The facility is surrounded by gardens that will arouse a sense of peacefulness and inspire residents to enjoy themselves and live life to the fullest. Room upgrades have also just been completed on several rooms within the low care wing at Cooee Lodge Hostel.

All rooms are fitted with a reverse cycle air conditioner for individual comfort and contain a bed, ensuite bathroom, easy chair, writing chair, and bench. David Neeves, general manager at Gilgandra Shire Council, encourages anyone in the Gilgandra community who is considering downsizing to make an appointment to visit the village.

“We understand that looking for aged care services can be very stressful. Our goal is to make the process stress-free and easy to understand.”

Cooee Lodge Retirement Village is located just one kilometre from the Gilgandra CBD and adjacent to the Gilgandra Multi-Purpose Health Service. Cooee Lodge Hostel is centrally located within the village. The hostel is a 40-bed low care facility and offers a 10-bed special care wing.

A combination of one- and two-bedroom style villa units surround the hostel in the retirement village complex and inspections are always welcome. Cooee Lodge Retirement Village is ready to discuss the details of care available.
