Probus Meeting, June 2022

Nan Nalder presented Emily Middleton with a Certificate of Appreciation for her talk at the Probus meeting on Thursday, June 8.

Miss Middleton spoke about Mauritius and Reunion Island, where her mother was born and brought up.

She spoke about how she had done a lot of travelling with her parents, and surprised members with the fact she had been to 39 countries by the time she was 18.

She also spoke about her career, how she ended up in Gilgandra as the local journalist, and how much she loves the community here.

Miss Middleton said that Gilgandra was one of her favourite places, which is a big call since she’s travelled all over the world!

Members also enjoyed their recent visit to Brett Garling's gallery and to lunch at the Wongarbon tavern. The next outing is for a meal and show in Dubbo.
