Pizza for a cause
For the past two years, Sam Abboud has been travelling with his mobile pizza van, and it’s his son that keeps him going.
Crazy Pizza’s made an appearance outside the Trye Smart over May 27 and 28, serving up freshly made woodfired pizzas in the evening. Owner Mr
Abboud has travelled from town to town all the way from Sydney, stopping
regularly to serve up his pizzas.
After being diagnosed with Leukemia at such a
young age, Mr Abboud's young son has recently rung the hospital bell to
proclaim he is finally cancer free.
Mr Abboud believes in supporting the locals, so instead of bringing staff on his trips, he relies on local community members to give him their time to help out.
Crazy Pizza will be back soon, serving up the same fresh woodfire pizzas, and all proceeds from that Mr Abboud makes goes towards leukemia treatment and research.
