Ladies night for Gilgandra Lions Club

A special Lions ladies night was held on Thursday, April 20, at the Gilgandra Golf Club, where two new Lions members were inducted by President Mike Newstead. Rod and Christene Howchin received their membership during the dinner, and Mr Newstead thanked them for their interest in joining the Gilgandra Lions Club.

Mr Newstead reinforced the values of the association, and at the completion of the ceremony, he presented Rod and Christene with their name badge and a welcome pack, followed by acclamation.

After the dinner Paul and Leonie Mann gave us a insight from their recent visit to Vietnam, accompanied by fascinating and enlightening slides.

Vietnam had plenty of sun and beautiful beaches, as well as delicious food. They reported that the Vietnamese culture was just amazing. A country of natural beauty. Paul and Leonie were guests at a friends wedding which lasted for three days

Mr Newstead thanked Paul and Leonie with a small gift as a token of appreciation.

A wonderful evening was enjoyed everyone.
