Gallery success at CHC
Gilgandra’s Coo-ee Heritage Centre (CHC) reopened more than two months ago with the delicious aroma of freshly-brewed coffee welcoming nearly 3000 people through the doors since.

Up to Tuesday, November 15, exactly a third, (33
per cent) of the 2913 visitors, have also been locals.
Gilgandra Art Gallery at the centre is currently
exhibiting a showcase of local artists from the region
titled: “This is Gilgandra”.
All of these works are available
for purchase, with sales of $1735 to date. Resident
artists, Judy and Joe Shaloub, have found that having
their artworks displayed as part of the exhibition, has
been a positive experience.
“I have already sold one painting since having it
there, and Joe has sold quite a bit of glass,” Mrs Shaloub
said.
"I’ve also just arranged for another exhibition next
year, which will be fantastic,” she added.
She said that locals are enjoying this new space with many looking forward to bringing family and friends through the exhibition over the holidays.
