Chrissie event for Collie CWA hall repairs
It’s now just two-years’ off the centenary celebrations for the Collie CWA.

Allowing for wars, the Great Depression, pandemics, plagues, droughts,
bushfires, and floods, the group’s continuous operation during this past
century, is a wonderful achievement.
Their historic hall that has also stood the test-of-time, but is now in need of some tender loving care, has seen the Collie Evening Branch, only five years young, step-up to help raise some funds this Christmas for the grand old building.
“We are very excited about our upcoming twilight Christmas party and markets at the Collie CWA Hall,” President Dominica Banks said.
“We wanted to create a fun event for our community and raise funds for the upkeep of our much-loved CWA Hall. There will be market stalls, live music, children’s activities, and a buffet dinner,” she added.
With the recent La Nina wet weather pattern playing havoc throughout the State, the hall hasn’t been immune to its impact, she explained.
“The hall suffered some significant damage during the recent flooding event, and we are hoping to help raise funds to fix it,” Dominica said.
For the Christmas party, she enthused: “Everyone is welcome to come along."
