Australia Day in Gulargambone
Familiar faces were the stars of the 2023 Gulargambone Australia Day Awards, held on January 26.
Taking out citizen of the year was
Garry Ferguson, with young citizen of
the year Cooper Peters.
Sports people of the year were
Gulargambone Rugby Women’s Touch
team, the Flamin Galah’s, see back page

Community group
of the year was Gulargambone Jockey
Club.
Community event of the year was
the Pave the Way to Gular festival.
Gulargambone’s environmental award
went to Gulargambone Lions Club.
Gulargambone’s young environmental award went to Gulargambone Central School, in conjunction with the Royal Flying Doctors Service for their GROW aquaponics program.
